The French system of fencing is a highly developed and refined style that distills fencing theory into an easily understood medium, making it the best weapon to learn first.  French masters designed their weapons to aid in the execution of their techniques, and Benjamin Arm’s Beginning French Foil is built to those same specifications.  The open figure eight guard was characteristically French as was the classic “s” shaped 5 & 1/2” French grip designed to contour within the palm.  A cord-wrapped grip keeps the weapon simple, affordable, and offers fantastic purchase on the weapon.  The conical pommel was selected for affordability and simplicity to seal the weapon together.
