Spun Circular

This hand-spun guard is smaller than Benjamin Arm’s épée cups and is typically mounted on foils.  However, its size can sometimes be appropriate for practice épées or dueling sword replicas.  Jean Kirchhoffer recommends using a circular guard for fencing foil in the early 20th century.

All Benjamin Arms guards have a 1/4” square hole in their centers to be mounted around most foil blades. Additional filing of this hole or the tang of the blade may need to occur to ensure proper mounting.
