Serafino Fratelli – Italian Fencing Equipment Manufacturers

Serafino Fratelli e Gnutti was an Italian manufacturer in Brescia manufacturing a variety of blades and fencing accouterments. Their 1904 catalog was over 70 pages long and translated into three languages for an international audience. They were Italian weapon specialists designing a wide range of Italian foils, dueling swords and sabres as well as multinational weaponry and accouterments. They produced very complex blades such as fullered & diamond cross-sectioned dueling sword blades with sizable true ricassos. Their blades carried typically the “SFG” maker’s mark. The company still exists today but exited the fencing supply market to re-tool their shop towards other industries.
